Dear Staff and Community Members,

The FY25 budget has been revised and is attached and posted on our website and the Town’s website. The bottom line remains $17,432,926. 

The following changes have been included:

  1. A full time certified librarian to be shared between the elementary schools. 

  2. Returning to sharing Music for the elementary schools.

  3. Reduced superintendent’s estimated salary and updated actual salaries on all other administrators. Cost savings placed into special education contractual service line.

Some additional information:

  • The School Committee’s Public Hearing is scheduled for June 6th at 5:00 p.m at Town Hall. 

  • The Special Town Meeting to revote on the bottom line budget for the school department has been scheduled for June 18th at 7:00 p.m.at the Murdock Auditorium. A vote on the school budget is a vote on the bottom line of $17,432,926.

  • A vote for the school budget allows the district and schools to continue to run.

  • A vote against the school budget forces the district and schools to close on July 1st.
